So now that House is off the board, any other noteworthy transfer targets for LSU currently?

Lots of twitter buzz, Brandon Sampson has really played well at the Pangos All-American Camps. Will likely be pushed into top 50 on every service.

He and Jacob Evans (St Michael-BR) made the Cream of the Crop game. It's essentially an all-star game for the Pangos camp. Top 30 make it, 15 per team.

Brandon Sampson is a really solid prospect. He needs to be at LSU.

I think the kicker is position depth. There is an obvious dearth of length at the wing position. 2 or 3. Brandon should be able to log heavy minutes his forst year because of that.

LSU basketball guys are moving in too. Just saw Elbert buying stuff at Walmart.

I imagine he should be easy to spot

Yeah, he's definitely a legit 7 footer. Towered over his parents who were already tall to begin.

Has he toned down some already? Elbert is going to be the biggest key to this season

Whoa...pump the brakes here. He'll play, but I suspect probably only 10-20 minutes per game. Even if he started, he would be the 5th scoring option.

Hopefully he can give LSU a few rebounds and points next season, but let's not put undue expectations on the kid. He's not the biggest key to the success/failure of next year's team. If he is, then this team is in trouble

Well, I wasn't staring him down or anything, but he definitely looked well under 300lbs.

He's still the biggest.

It's REALLY easy to be 300 lbs at 7 feet

I agree.

That depends on who's at guard. He'd give us more scoring potential than Quarterman.

if we can get anything like a storm warren junior year production from him that would be great

the keys to next year are the two new guards IMO

I was at the PMAC a little while ago since the Johnny Jones camp is going on. The team was running a little 5 on 5. Elbert looked slimmer and was running the court pretty well for a 7 footer.

That's good to hear. I'm hoping Elbert will be a pleasant surprise next season. He could give us some good scoring from the block IMO. Hopefully, take some of the pressure off the other forwards.

Not being a smartass, but are you talking about Elbert? I guess I could see it from a stats only perspective, but I'd expect entirely different roles.
