Looks like he just did

@courtcred: Montverde PG Jaylen Patterson is now an LSU Tiger. Just committed after having Sunday breakfast with the staff on campus.

Looks like we officially have our early signing class with Robertson, Epps and Patterson.

Would Patterson being compared to Stringer be a good comparison? Seems like he's a bit of a combo guard like Stringer is.

If Patterson commitment secures Simmons for next year it was a no brainer. 2015 class could be one for the ages. If Simmons comes here with his ties then 5 Star Elijah Thomas who was in town for an unofficial with all of his ties. Wow! Add local guard Brandon Sampson who s a consensus 4 star. Top 5 class next year

Highly unlikely. Think he's still 16.

That question should probably be somewhere other than the 2014 thread.

Haven't heard anything concerning Maker in a long time. Definitely recruiting Mays though, yeah.

Do we have any legit shot at getting Bolden or Exum now that we have Simmons' verbal? I read a while back that Exum was probably going to take some visits with him.

Not sure about Bolden, but with Exum, it seems to me Simmons' decision wouldn't necessarily factor in much. If Exum doesn't jump straight to the NBA, he's likely one and done anyway and would be gone by the time Simmons hits campus.

Is Exum playing HS ball in the US? If so, can he forego college and enter the NBA draft? Ultimately, unless he really wants to play colllege ball, I don't see anyway (if eligible) he doesn't enter the NBA draft. In a 2014 class that looks to be loaded, he's always listed in mocks as a top 5 - 10 pick.

Because Exum has played overseas (not proffessionaly) the rules are different for when he can enter. The reason he is so high even though this college crop is loaded is the potential and the added year Exum has on everybody. Exum did very well against many of this years diaper dandies and is a 6'6 athletic combo guard that can shoot from deep and is very athletic. So in short he had skyrocketed up NBA boards.

It is 50/50 whether he goes pro or goesthe college route. But LSU is never out with Coach Patrick here.
