If the player stayed for at least 4 years, he got to go to a NC. How fun is it going to be telling that to recruits? And if LSU wins... 12 straight classes of players at LSU will have won a national championship. That's hard core!

That is a good news nugget. I have never looked at it that way.

That's impressive and should be mentioned to every recruit we go after.

Is PP7 the only LSU player not to experience one since he left early?

PP7 can in a year later.
Ridley was 2007, with Brooks, Blackwell, JLee, JoshD, TBob etc, & red-shirted. So was here for Jan 2008.

that's a pretty good exception to have

"Yeah, the only Tiger that didn't see a BCSNCG... he's playing for DROY in the NFL instead."

On the TD? Since when?

I had no idea you posted that. On the other hand, it's kind of like calling "shotgun" when you are getting out of the car and expecting to have the front seat when you come back. Sorry Bozo, but you were premature...

Someone called into 870 in N.O. and said this on Saturday. Every player since 1999 has played for a BCS NC, unless they declared early for draft, were dismissed or transferred.

Pretty impressive stat.

Only 5th year players from 99 would have played. I don't know, but I doubt everyone redshirted.

Since: during or throughout the period of time after.

In other words, "since 1999" does not include 1999.
