Went take a damage assessment walk, not much damage other than a few shingles and a fence gate. Took a pic of the bayou. It's about the same as after a few days of rain:

Lost power at 4:45 this a.m.
Not tooo bad. Few tree limbs down in back yard.
Any updates Around thib? I see cars riding around. Anythkng serious yet?

Apparently one of the elementary schools in GM lost a whole roof. Got a call just now.
My bud said there is no way the winds last night weren't triple digits. Apparently they're in the eye right now and have been in it for a while.
They're getting the brunt of it. Hear the storm came on land twice, first in Plaq then in Fourchon.

In Lockport, brother lost chimney, 30% of shingles on his garage, and tree split in two.
In Laplace, I have a fence I'll have to repair after the storm rolls through. Seems some existing fence posts I had left when I replaced the boards last time decided to snap this storm.

On ch6 the weatherman drew a circle where the eye currently is then backed it up 3 hours and played it on a loop. Zero movement, just kept going around the same circle.

Had a Deer stand in my driveway. Tied it to my boat. Tied boat to tree. Deer stand flipped over, hit kids swingset and turned boat 90 degrees. I'm lucky tree didn't fall. Still. O electricity. RunnIng generator, beer is still cold.
