Someone claimed that CNN said that a levee broke in new Orleans. Any truth to this? Or is she simply trying to make the new Orleans levee system look bad? I know plaquemine parish levee failed. But the city of New Orleans?

No.
Some old fart probably heard about the plaquemine parish small levee break from this morning and they are passing on shitty info.

They're probably considering Plaquemines Parish and Madisonville New Orleans.

This. I think to many of these reporters anything southeast of Baton Rouge is considered New Orleans.

I posted this in the Northshore thread. There are no levees in Mandeville and Madisonville. The news just wants people to keep watching and be freaked out.

I thought the water was pushed over the levee in plaquemine parish by storm surge? Did the levee actually fail?
