I wonder if it will be safe to drive from Panama City Florida to Dallas Texas? I am going to have to drive right through all of that storm.

you will probably die.

Last year on the way back from the Oregon game we drove through three hours of this shite.

Might want to wait until Friday. I know that doesn't make for as much fun time on the trip, but you have your safety to worry about.

You'll be fine. I'm leaving from right outside Baton Rouge (Denham Springs) somewhere between 11-2 depending on the weather. Roads should have very little if any traffic so only thing slowing us down will be the rain.

You probably need to drive through Birmingham, Memphis, Little Rock. I'm not usually afraid of rain drivin, but it seems stupid to drive directly through it.

Which way are you going? I would drive straight to Houston. Then go North to Dallas.

Compelling reason not to go.

This is my route of choice, down I-10 though I'm making a stop in College Station to check out A&M since I've got time to spare before I have to check in my hotel in Dallas on Friday.

I echo the sentiments of others, be safe. It might be a longer drive but I would go up to Birmingham and then go over through Memphis and Little Rock to get to the game. On your way back (if you are going back to Panama City) you should be able to go through Louisiana and Mississippi.

No offense, but we here in Dallas don't really want you Bama fans dirtying the place up. It's best if you just stay in your trailer and watch the game.

Gotcha.

Not much to see in College Station.

If you are in Houston around lunch time I would suggest Catching lunch at Canyon Creek. Just off I-10.

Good spot.

honestly, I don't think you are gonna have much of a problem...that is such a long drive, I'm betting you come through behind the storm...just check the radar when you get to lafayette to see what I-49 looks like and decide from there...

I wouldn't take I-10, you'd be better off on 20...
