We planted before we knew the back yard was extremely wet. Any ideas to help get this to grow?

Drainage.
Preferably a SubAir system.

Thanks, Gold, we have french drains but the yard still seems to hold moisture. I was thinking of overseeding with St aug.

I’m not aware of any seeded St. Aug.

Carpetgrass does well in wet locations. I’d give that a shot. Then stock up on 2,4-D and Image because you’re going to be battling sedges and dollar weed.

I hate to hear palisade going to waste, it’s probably my favorite zoysia.

There is no st aug seed. Is the yard wet because it simply won’t drain? How big is the yard and can you bring in a mason sand/soil combo and start to build it up?

as noted by others there is no such thing as overseeding with st aug.
one thing you could do is plant some trees in that area assuming it’s not a swamp. Nothing sucks up groundwater like an established tree

I'll probably have to build up and reroute the water to the french drains. Thanks for all the responses gents.

This is truly your best action going forward - been there, done that, and still working improving a couple low spots, but makes all the difference in the world.

Put some torpedo grass in. It won’t help but you’ll forget all about your current problem.
