I was thinking of putting down about a 1/4 pound of nitrogen fast release to help with some scalping I did on my lawn. It looks like we’re done with the 90’s and summer but should still have some mild weather until November. Anyone applied this far into September?

When I had centipede I always did 5-0-20 granular fert in September. I really wouldn’t do fast release.

Is it good to put down after all this rain is over? Before or after cutting?

So the reason I wouldn't do high nitrogen fert right now is because of large patch. Some new research says that fert helps the grass recover from large patch instead of causing it to explode. However, I still think that high nitrogen fert can cause it start. Rain with the current temps is going to make large patch start to show itself.

I always put down granular products down before a rain. Before or after cutting wouldn't matter.

I was looking through my records and it looks like before I canceled Spring Green they put down fertilizer middle of August. Should I do anything now or just leave it as is?

Ronk would it matter if I just spray 21-0-0 at .25 pound? I’m just looking for a small response after I had some scalping on my zoysia.

Only fert I would do now is low nitrogen high potassium but you could just skip and never notice a difference.

Site One has some straight sulfate of potassium I may put down too. My sandy soil doesn’t hold on to nutrients long.

Propiconizole would be my first option. A lot of times I suggest Azoxystrobin because I know al big box stores carry Scott’s Disease X. If you have centipede you can use both. St Aug is where I start to worry about fungicide rotation.
