I got a french door LG July 4 2016, it died June 26th and I didn't get it working again until July 31st. All under warranty it took over a month to get a working fridge. They had to come out 3 times and replace multiple parts.
So I'd go with no LG.

Just bought a new LG, hoping it will last like my washer and dryer have.

I would not recommend samsung.

I bought an LG side by side with the third door in May of 2017. No issues except with the black stainless finish. It was defective, and they promptly fixed it.

Damn, glad I clicked on this today.
I just ordered a Samsung through Home Depot today.
Just cancelled it.
What about a Samsung overhead Microwave, are those bad too? Frigidaire pretty good? Any good local stores like Stanton's around Baton Rouge? Brands, I must have 33 max inches x 75 inches max

I specifically avoided Samsung based on this thread.
Went with a KitchenAid...French door, in door ice maker (although pretty small), and two bonus drawers (wife thinks this will be good for the kids). Gave my wife a 3K budget...she only went over by $500??.
Whirlpool had a great option with a second ice maker in the freezer for 2800, but wife was intent on the KitchenAid(had to have those bonus drawers).

NO SAMSUNG!
Side by Side top to bottom
Freezer on bottom of French Doors makes me stoop
Maytag is over 20 years old now. Getting a Whirlpool (made by Maytag) in new house.

Don’t buy Kitchenaid. They have gone downhill with my latest fridge being a huge POS compared to my last one from them. Handles falling off, won’t stay tight. Drawers don’t slide well. Just cheaply made now.

We have the same one and we love it. Smudge free finish is huge with kids

I won’t buy anything from Samsung except for solid state hard drives.
Check Frigidaire for appliances.

I can also vouch for no Samsung. Ice maker was crap. While thing went out within 2 years. Friends with digital washer/dryer also had issues with Samsung.
We like our Frigidaire.

I'll put another in for the non-Samsung crowd. Ice maker repeatedly froze up. For us though it would take a while so we stuck it out for a while until we moved.
We have Frigidaire in our new home and no complaints so far.
