Our maytag washer has been leaving faint blue stains on clothing. Wife has run cycles with vinegar, bleach, etc to clean the machine. Swears the loads where clothes affected didn't have anything that would bleed blue.

Maytag recommended trying to see if anything is between the the basket and drum. Haven't been able to remove the basket...it's a bear. Any tips for removal or a repair man in BR who could help get it out?

Go to the repair shop on Florida Blvd that carries Maytag parts. Near that cemetery. They can probably tell you what to do.

I'll look into it. Need a spanner to remove that nut. They may have one that fits. Found a Kenmore one that looks like it'll fit on Amazon.

Only use free and clear detergent and no fabric softener, so we can rule that out.

Also try repairclinic.com. On some models they have good troubleshooting guides based on common problems.
