Do not plant large trees close to the pool. Or maybe any trees.

I am sure all of the big pool builders are using the same big group of subs. It's just a matter of which builder you want to deal with directly. There probably isn't much difference in the overall product, but the process could be more or less painful, slow, etc. depending on who you choose.
We essentially GCed our own pool. So I can't speak to the quality of any of the local builders.

You handled the permits? How did you find all of the subs (diggers, plumbers, electricians, plaster, masons, etc.)? I assume you have friends that are contractors?

Yep

Not that hard to find - have to be willing to create very specific plans, call and meet with tons of subs, and navigate the permitting process in EBR (which is half the battle).
I've done plenty of work at my house and GCed most of it. No contractor friends or family, unfortunately.

Longest operating fiberglass pool builder in area. The Hebert family has been doing this since early 80’s. Don’t waste time with any others

Russel doesn’t do fiberglass and gunite that size would cost $140-150 sf for basic pool

@WilsonPickett
Sounds like we had similar experiences.

Tear up the quote and run as fast and far as you can from them

Prices change quickly but the best vinyl liner pool installer in the area is Kerry Hebert if you can get him. No relation to Hebert family at Central Pools. Both really fine people!
