Lake house / Camp build

Starting design plans on a lake house. It’s on 1.5 acres of wooded property near a golf course. Looking to build a “wish list” for it - any can’t miss adds?

Take whatever you like doing there and amplify it.
Cooking? big arse outdoor kitchen
Fishing? Awesome deck/pier
Hanging out inside? Big open area

Yes to all so far except the pier. I’m near the lake but not on it.
And planning to do a huge game room with golf simulator.

I've always wanted an elevated outdoor deck. As in something over/on top of the back patio to overlook they back yard/ pond etc.

We’ve had one for a few years and One of the best times / making memories with family is sitting by the fire at night. Roasting marshmallows, talking, playing games etc.
If it were me, I’d make an area for a legit fire pit, chairs and all. Especially if you live by the woods, can go chop wood and gather for a fire at night. Kids love doing it, AND it gets them outside and off of their f’ing phones! My kids are young and their favorite part is to go off in the woods and collect sticks. It’s great, hope yall enjoy it like we do!

Stayed at a lake house rental recently with a good sized screened patio off the kitchen which was made into dining area. we really enjoyed it.

Boiler room downstairs with concrete floors. Place you can hang out and be loud, get drunk, and cook.
