Identify this grass/weed in my yard

Can anyone identify this grass/weed. It’s popping up in my yard and is easy to see since the rest of the grass is brown. Any way to remove it? Thanks in advance.

Dallisgrass. Glyphosate is the cure.

Dig it up, glyphosate, MSMA / MSM turf….. a combo of Celsius and certainty will kill it with multiple apps (grass type dependent)

MSM won’t touch it. Neither will Celsius/certainty. The former will turn it purple but that’s it

MSMA will definitely kill it….. that’s just a fact. I’ve used it and it’s why my father-in-law (greens keeper) uses to control grassy weeds on his course. Target 6 is a good choice you can get on Amazon or qualipro msm turf.

You said MSMA/MSM turf. MSMA is monosodium acid methanearsonate and will kill Dallisgrass. It isn't labeled for residential use. MSM turf is metsulfuron methyl and won't touch Dallisgrass.

Bahahaha I k no ow they aren’t the same thing…. I know it’s not labeled for res use but piss on that. I’ve knocked it down pretty hard with msm turf when I was waiting on MSMA. The importance of knowing chemicals lol, Jesus guy.

MSM won't touch Dallisgrass. It's a waste of time and money to try to knock down Dallisgrass with it.

I hit it with msma post msm turf BUT msm turf stunned it. I figure it would have died with another app. I hate using glyphosate in my yard even if my zoysia is dormant. MSMA will be my go to for as long as I can get my hands on it.

I’ve seen Celsius be more effective on dallisgrass than VBW.

Celsius will definitely stunt Dallisgrass. Tribute Total, which is basically Celsius, Sedgehammer, and Revolver will kill in in two apps.
One of the guys at my office would swear that Celsius alone would kill it. Then we realized he was tripling the high dose. We were like yeah numbnuts you're killing the Dallisgrass and the turf.

I do love me some Celsius but I couldn’t kill it with that alone. Folks say Celsius and certainty together will kill it after a few apps.
