Looking to purchase a residential security camera system kit. I see many different brand and features on Amazon. I'm looking for one that has remote access, movable cameras, and around the $300-$400 range. Does anyone have any experience with any of these and/or recommendations on a good brand?

I've had a Eufycam wireless system for a few years now. No real issues. Free app, free local storage on micro SD. Can add on cameras to the base unit.

Just cameras, I should have specified.

I'm sold on this. I thought that the kit came with a storage hub that has 1TB? Each camera has an SD?

Wireless or will you be running wires?

My Reolink system has been very solid. I’m happy with it. Looking at expanding the hard drive now since it only keeps about 3-4 days of video (7 cams in 4K).

Arlo works like a champ, may be more expensive though. No monthly fee, but my system is four years old, so that my have changed. Mine is the Arlo Pro 2 system.

If you are going wired, I put in 6 4k reolink cameras earlier this year and the entire system is phenominal for the price.

Wired: reolink

Wireless: eufy.

If you are looking for local storage (no fees) these are really the only choice.

They also both offer easily expandable storage and have top notch cameras.

My only caveat is if you go reolink, pay a little extra and get the ones with built in spot lights
