I told my dad about the sale and he said he doesn't need one if I already bought one.

My neighbors all said the same thing.
Great community here.
No problem with that.

I looked at the Troy Bilts. Those prices dob't look like much of a sale to me ? My Super Bronco is 13 yrs old and stil runs like a top.

Didn't have a need for a tiller but at that price I got it just on principle.

I was walking through Walmart in Fairhope four years ago after Thanksgiving. Surprisingly they had a decent tiller just sitting in the lawn and garden section amongst all that Christmas stuff. It was marked down to $100.00. On sheer principle alone as you so eloquently put it I pushed that thing all the way to the self checkout line and had some kid help me lift it into the back of my vehicle. I’ve used it once but by golly I got a shiny new one sitting in my garage in case I ever need the thing. It actually came in handy when all my centipede died this spring. One never knows when you might just have to plow your entire front yard up.

Thanks for the heads up. Three of us in the office just bought the Champion rear tine. Pretty much have no need for one since I do a raised bed but that was a pretty incredible deal

Should be interesting what the wife says when I open that up. Guess I'll expand the flower beds next year.

My grandfather used to have one of the troy Built Big Reds 40 years ago. That thing was a beast. He used it to take care of his 3 acre garden. Used to plant 150 tomato plants.

Been fighting with my dad’s decades old tiller for a couple weekends now, this was blessing.

My luck the old bastard will run like a champ in the morning.

Got an e-mail last week saying they'd contact me when it arrived at the store.

Got another e-mail yesterday that said it's ready to pick up and I have until Wed. Aug. 23 to do so. I will head over there tomorrow and get it.

Yep, that's usually my story. Just missed out.

I put the order in on July 27th and got the e-mail on Aug. 17th that it was ready to pick up. I had called the store a week or so prior and was told it had arrived but they'd let me know when it could be picked up.

I'm not sure if they are doing final assembly or just had that many to deal with, thus the delay.

I messaged HD through text inquiring about my delayed order.
They opened a case to investigate.
The rep also refunded $70.?8 to my HD card.
New cost for the tiller is $104.?4

The wife and I took a ride over to Home Depot yesterday morning and picked up the one I ordered a couple weeks ago.

That thing was in a wooden crate and fairly heavy for us to get into the truck as I'm currently sporting a broken foot and in a walking boot to get around. Guess it also doesn't help that I'm pushing 71 and the wife is now 64, but we did manage.

Once home I got it off the truck and onto a hand truck to wheel into the shop and may get to uncrating it and assembly today after my visit with the ortho.

I chatted with hd but did not get a credit. Told them I was waiting for it for a job that started this week. All they could offer is it’s running 21 days behind.
