Trying to get a bunch of bermuda out of my zenith zoysia. From what I've ready, Fusilade II is the herbicide to use. However, I've ready some opinions that suggest adding other things in to aid (Triclopyr 4 or Methylated Seed Oil).

Anyone have any experience with this?

Fusilade with Triclopyr and MSO will fry bermuda. It may take another shot in a couple of weeks.

But is it too nuclear of an option. Don't want to kill the zoysia with it.

Also, I plan on following up with some hydroseeding in areas that the bermuda is extra thick. I don't think this combo would hinder germination, but asking opinions....

I had a lawn specialist tell me that he uses Fusilade II in zoysia to kill bermuda, but the application rate needs to be precise. He also told me that you could use it to kill bermuda in St. Augustine, but the application would need to be even more precise. And lets just say I am not confident enough to try it in my St. Augustine.

Fusilade II Turf and Ornamental for overspray of Zoysia rate is 3-4 oz/A with 0.25% nonionic surfactant. Apply around June 1 and repeat every 30 days. Late summer apps can go with 2-3 oz/A. Wouldn’t add anything except the surfactant as it is a fine line in terms of tolerance for the zoysia.
