Who’s got recommendations and possibly pictures of what you’ve got.

Also, anyone know how to only light certain peaks on the roof without seeing the lights from one section or level of roof to the next?

I always used the old school clear C9 lights on my previous house. To avoid having overlapping sections of lights show, just slightly unscrew the bulbs so they dont light up.

You can customize your own C9 light strings with vampire plugs/sockets and 18 Gauge SPT1 wire.

If you're using the small mini lights or LED dome type lights, you can buy black covers for them. Look up Xmas light blackout caps.

I went with the LED icicle and net lights for my house last year. Significantly brighter than traditional C9 bulbs and no worries about having an entire section out because of one bad bulb. Home Depot has a generic set.

Minleon bulbs. You can get them from Action Lighting.

I use the Opticore C9 Bulbs from Christmaslightsetc. They are pricey but super bright and sturdy.

I have the c7 string that one consistent string with vampire plugs and cord extensions does the whole house outline, net lights, garland, etc. it’s expensive but the garland is 3x the size of stuff you get from lowes and the lights are very bright warm led’s.
