I can't figure out how to add a picture of it. The carport is about 8 foot tall now needs to be about 12 feet to fit motorhome underneath. It is 15ft by 30ft. This is at a lake lot so I don't need it to be pretty. It's a metal carport with 6 poles on each side bolted down to an anchored metal beam at the bottom.

Are there companies that do this work? I've called a few and they push me off to the next saying they design and build only.

I've also seen videos of people using a front end loader on the back and front to raise. I don't really have the equipment for this. Thanks for any help!

I would think any metal fabricator could complete this work. Find a local welder and give him a call.

If you are capable of DIY work, figure out how to disassemble the top, remove it and add 4 feet with 2x6's etc. There are few companies that are hungry enough to do this.

Or have it removed and a new structure built.

Welder is a great idea! I'm not sure why I didn't think of that.

Where are you located? If you are around SELA, Crowne metals in Albany, La. will make custom bases for you. They made me some when mine rusted out. They can then make the vertical height anything you want. I used a floor jack and some 2x4s to raise each side and slide the new base in the legs.

This is what I would do. Add my 4' to the bottom instead of the top.
