i just had the pop-up that chicken referenced (S.rev2pub.com)
i've yet to have it happen on any other websites. it's sporadic. my problem is different from wowyhi--i didn't have the farkriffic reference
i had been browsing the fark board prior to it starting. could have been coincidence.
for me, the pop up is a new window that opens as i'm clicking on something while on td (such as going to a different page of a post or changing boards)
eta: and if anyone has a recommended malware scanner for mac i'd appreciate it

That's what mine does too. It's because a pic that's being hosted on that farkriffic.com site is somewhere on that page. Either as an avatar, sig pic, or just a pic someone posted.
