I think it would help curb all the blind links that get thrown in.

YES. And I'm sure all of this has been explained/complained about 1000 times. I've just lived with it and haven't come to Help Board to see what's up, but...

whatever happened to the better linking app where it autofilled the selected text in a post as the link title? then creates the URL. Why did we go from that fully functional way of linking URLs to an idiotic one? It has been this [DUMB] way for years.

It's a total PIA to type out the link name (especially when linking an article title) AND an equal PIA to have to go back and copy the title and have the link pop-up disappear. What year is this??? Again, it worked better 10 years ago.

I'd rather just see the URL than see the autofilled 'Link.'

This is a decent suggestion

I am active on another board (political) where links auto change to the article title in the actual post
