Can they be manipulated by ADMINs? For example, in the thread asking for best day ever donations somebody called out a down vote last night, and this morning there is no down vote.

That person probably changed their vote. If you refresh the page, you can change your vote.

We don't touch the votes.

i gave ur thread a thumbs down b/c it's probably one of the most pussified questions i have ever seen. You can refresh all you want, my down vote will remain.

I wasn't calling out the actions in that particular thread, I was just curious if an ADMIN could go in and change the number of up and down votes.

The better question is can Admins see who upvotes & downvotes?

Unless it's part of the admin interface, I doubt most of them can. But the two top dogs can definitely get the information.

The better question is why would they even care?

Because people get worked up and bent out of shape over down votes

Can you (or other admins) see who up/downvotes a post, similar to how you can see who "likes" a post on facebook?

If so would there ever be any option in the future of making that available to non-admins? Seems like it would hold "serial downvoters" accountable.

I'm game.

I can have a lot of fun with the tidal wave of "Mr. Admins? Can you ban ___ for down voting a bunch? It hurt my feelings so bad!" threads that will follow.

And the admins will LOVE the drastic increase in RA activity because someone can't take it that the number next to a downward facing arrow by their internet post has increased.

The admins or chicken?

They may not which is why it wouldn't be part of what a typical admin sees. But Almost every single thing you "do" on a website (clicks) is logged. Especially when there's a response (number up/down). So whoever has access to those logs (chicken and circus) could see them. Now why they would go look, idk.
