Tech board would get more use than about half the current boards on this site.

Laron wants tech board

Almost impossible for good tech discussions to stay visible.

I don't know, I have a feeling a tech board would be 90% stupid pissing match threads and threads where simple questions get tons of condescending "use the site search" responses. The potential is there, but the regulars would be pretty low in number and what the likely regulars have shown in tech threads on the OT is not promising. I always liked the idea of combining the tech board with the money board to keep the discussions semi serious and on topic, but the money board ain't what it used to be.

I disagree. I think the board would have the largest niche following behind the OT and PT.

Most thought the MB would quickly devolve into nothing but arguments, but it turned out well, aside from the fact that's it's rather slow.

I think it would be more or less similar to how the M/TV board is run. Sure there's some occasional confrontation, but when someone comes in asking for film and tv recommendations (pretty daily), we don't go and piss on their parade.

THis is exactly why we need a tech board. This is what happens on the OT. Ideally, not too many douche OTers will wander over to the tech board to start that shite. I would hope it would be similar to the Movie/TV board where actual good discussion happens and questions actually get informative answers. Not 90% douche responses.

I would love a tech board. I'm just afraid it will become too much of a "tech support" board.

Wah my printer doesn't work, etc.

However, I still vote for a tech board. Cell phones/laptops/all that jazz.

Well, that comes with the territory. M/TV board is plagued with Teen Whores and other crappy tv shows/films, but you just ignore them.

That would be part of the draw, and would give it more utility than most other boards.

Currently 4 tech threads alone in the top half of the first page on the OT...

They just keep building on to the SEC Rant...I wonder when TD will get a few of those updates.

TD has 20 boards bro... Just wait it out and bump the tech threads on the OT every now and then.

No, not necessarily with the boards. I was talking more about the design.

Not, not necessarily with the boards. I was talking more about the design.

The SEC Rant still has a few kinks with the mobile format.

This may be true, as I haven't checked out the mobile site.

The regular version though has a few design motifs that make TD look comparatively outmoded.
