With that title, it's not difficult for someone to assume his death took place
Assume doesn't mean it did. Not to mention he had terminal cancer. He was a dead man walking from the first episode.
It's as big of a spoiler as saying dinos get out and cause havoc in Jurassic Park.

FWIW, I just finished the first season on Netflix.

Yea I know now, thanks to being spoiled.
In the show I'm 3 1/2 seasons in. At the point of the show I'm in Walts cancer seems to be fading, hey he might even beat the cancer. But no, now I know it comes back and is terminal, and he's going to die either by it or by getting killed by someone, I appreciate that
Well common sense should have dictated to stay out of this thread

You're full of shite dude **Spoilers below***
It's either the end of season 2 or in season 3 when his doctor tells him his cancer is gone, it looks like he could actually beat it.

THAT'S THE WHOLE frickING POINT!!!! The dude put a huge spoiler IN THE THREAD TITLE. How can you avoid that?

Does inoperable lung cancer mean something other than terminal now?
ETA: The doc gave him only a year or two.

It's not a fricking spoiler if you've seen one episode of the show.

Inoperable =/= treatable
Terminal = deadly
Or am I missing something?

The whole reason he did any of this is to provide for his family after he dies from the cancer. That much is stated in the pilot. If you can't connect that with him eventually dying, I don't know what to tell you.

You're reading a thread dedicated to an argument about spoilers in the end of the show.
You have no one to blame but yourself and you're dumb for reading multiple pages of this thread.
Weapons grade stupidity.

People don't overcome cancer?
Why do people have to assume the show ends with him dying from it (or something else)? It was only 5 seasons.

Now you're just making shite up. Here is a passage from Walter Whites BB Wiki page from Season 2
quote:
At the doctor, Walter discovers that he is in remission - his tumor has shrunk by 80% ("4 Days Out").

It's his whole motivation. If he wasn't dying, he doesn't ever do that first cook.

Did you just not watch the pilot?

I already know he dies so what does it matter now?
And honestly I like Breaking Bad, but I don't think it is as amazing as most on the board. I really don't care much about me getting spoiled, but I'm sure people who do care a lot read that thread title and were spoiled by it

It's still a spoiler in a thread title. He beat the inoperable cancer once, he was taking chemo treatments so it's not inconceivable that he could beat it again. Plenty of people were predicting he would survive before the finale.
If I'm on the 3rd season of Breaking Bad and I see that thread title, I'm not happy.

And this pretty much sums up why you'd think knowing Walt dies is a spoiler.

That doesn't answer the question. His motivation has nothing to do with how the show ends. Plot twists, story evolution, etc. don't exist in your world?
