Just wanted to encourage all TD'ers to back up your PC regularly. My PC got a virus last week (I use McAffee and update the virus definitions everyday) and it was a bad one. I had to format my C: drive and start over. I lost everything. Luckily, I'd backed up my files about two weeks earlier to an external hard drive so I was able to reload most of my work files.
Anticipating your question, I don't know where the virus came from. That day I only went to TD.com, 2TheAdvocate.com, Yahoo News and Finance, and USAToday.com.
If anyone has any suggestions as to a better virus detector, I'm open to suggestions.

I use AVG and nod32.
NOD32 is the best out there.AVG is the most used because it is free, and most people who create viruses know this and AVG is more vunerable.

Some viruses have a 2 week "incubation" period or activate on some future action
