Changing email link for my account

I did an edit to my profile to change my email address. It said it would send a verification email before it could be done. Would this go to my old email address? I no longer work there so would have no access to answer it. If it goes to my old email only, how do I update it?

Also it notified me that another account was alread linked to my new email account. I had accidentally set up a second account when I first joined, I believe it was Tigers55, it should only have about 11 post on it. How do I delete that account and disassociate it with the email I want to use?
