I have an honest question chicken (or others), and I am admitting I know absolutely NOTHING about how this type of thing works. So if this is obvious, know it's truly out of ignorance I ask this.

What causes this to happen every so often, and what do you do to temporarily "fix" it? Obviously you sell ad space for the site. So do certain companies that buy space with TD type in some sort of coding language in their ads that force a pop up/redirect upon opening a certain page? Is there any sort of language in the contract (is there a contract?) that can outlaw that?

we belong to ad exchanges that have various buyers competing to serve ads...when we encounter these issues, we pause one or two of the networks to narrow down the culprit...we complain to the offending exchange and hope they sort it out before we turn them back on. Big pain in the butt.

I know money talks, but for habitual violators would it be worth dropping that company and just bring another one on board? Or is that not really how it works
