Yeah, I noticed. I was hoping someone on the OB would have an idea if it was something the board did.

Chicken, there are thread that are getting anchored that don't meet any of the criteria for anchoring. I don't know if the Admin monitoring it has no idea of what we are talking about but it is very random at what gets anchored and what gets allowed to stay. I have been posting here a long time and haven't complained about anything since we got the OB, so I think my complaint is valid.

I see several anchored...some are repeat threads or have incomplete titles...ie, the point of the thread is not evident.

which threads in particular are of concern to you?

There has been a lot of grumbling over the past couple of weeks and it has become more and more evident. As I said before, I think it may be a case of Admins that don't have a full understanding of what is being discussed and thing things are repeats or incomplete titles when they are not.

The OB isn't the OT, but the impression is that it gets more scrutiny. Maybe I am wrong, but there has been a lot of poster discussion.

On the incomplete titles topic: Why does this matter? If a title was "Hey", I am not going to click on it and if I did, it is kind of hard for me to bitch about it.

Anyway, thanks for looking into it.

Also, (and I may be wrong about this) the OB seems to attract a lot of posters than don't post on the other boards. Lots of lurkers and first time posters, probably because of the nature of the board (I would think it would skew older too). This is good because it is attracting new members. However, I don't think all of them are educated in the posting guidelines. Dropping the anchor on someone with only a few posts might not be a good way to insure their continued use.

They would most probably mean Uncle Si has joined the Tigerdroppings.

I think he would at least include "Jack" in the title.

well, there were two "what was your first gun?" threads created within minutes of each other this morning...the one with the better title was not anchored.

it matters to me. I want board indexes that are readable. I shouldn't have to click a thread to know exactly what it is going to be about. Don't bother arguing this point with me...I am not budging on it.

Dude, your title was "Fishing in Galveston Advice". Obviously it should have been "Galveston, oh Galveston fisherman's insight and guidance needed inside hither thread".
