Have had three (migraine with aura) in the last two weeks. I’ve occasionally had them since I was in my early 20s but usually several months to a couple years apart.

Curious if maybe the weather is triggering it.

triggering it.

Do you strength train? I ask because tension headaches can trigger migraines. Tension headaches can be cause by tightness in the muscles of the back of your neck and upper traps. If this is happening to you, I suggest stretching and myofascial release of those upper traps/levator scapulae. A massage gun would work great, but a lacrosse ball is always good if you're in a financial pinch.

I naturally carry a ton of tension in my neck/shoulders/traps. Planning to use the massage gun when the magnesium kicks in.

Yeah, if that's where you naturally carry your tension than I guarantee releasing it will cut down on your amount of migraines. Also, lots of migraines are caused by electrolyte deficiencies. I start my day with a Nuun (electrolyte tablet) before I have my coffee. It has helped me with my migraines as well as the muscle cramps I was getting.

So went to the PCP and my BP was up (and has been skirting that “high” borderline for a bit) so he’s out me on Metroprolol.

Rizatriptan (maxsalt) is a lifesaver Your regular doc can give you a script. You just take one when you feel it coming on. No side effects. You get about 9 tablets month. I just refill as needed. (Don’t get 9 migraines a month)

Got them my whole life but about ten years ago, I got like 7 or 8 in a two week span. Normally I would get them once every 2-3 months. Went to a neurologist and we figured out that Makers Mark was triggering which was weird because I had drank it with no problem for years. He said that something that never triggered them before can become an instant and intense trigger.

So maybe go through what you’ve been ingesting lately and see if you can identify it.
