And if so, do you want an extra running buddy for the CCC?
My running buddy can’t make it to Nola with me this year and had to back out.
eta: I don’t mind to run alone but races are always more fun with a buddy imho.
And also - I’m not looking to PR or anything

I’d suggest looking at a local running store or joining the run groups if you want to run with others.

Are you in BR? If so talk to the people at Varsity Sports. I know there is a group that runs around the lakes.

I think nurse just wants a race day buddy, not a training group.

Those are links to the local Varsity Facebook groups. They'll have a ton of people running the CCC. Just post there and you'll find a few that will meet up with you.

Doesn't hurt to have both. I'm only in the VS training group because I enjoyed the company I was with. But yeah, both those areas mentioned, including BR, will have a ton of people going to CCC.

Any other time I'd tell you to run with my wife, but neither of us are doing it this year. She's in her 3rd trimester and I stress too much to be 10km away from my phone/truck in the event she goes into labor

And congrats on the baby.
For a 10k, I’ll just run with earbuds in. I have friends meeting me after the race so it’ll just be the race that I’ll be hanging out alone.
