Thoughts on Callaway XR OS irons

Just started playing regularly, have been using a set of cheap Taylor Made clones. I would like to get something better. Recently upgraded to an XR driver and hit it way better than any driver I ever used before. Have been doing some research on game improvement clubs and am down to these and possibly Ping G Max. Went to Dicks sporting goods and hit the XR OS's on simulator and they felt good. Just for background info I am 57 fairly good athlete just need something to be able to hit better and improve with. Thanks.
