Any recent reports from these two courses? My Brother will be in Lake Charles next week and is looking to play. They don’t want to play The Nugget again and Contraband is closed the day they can play.

ETA… looks like Gray went private? Guess it’s the National then… worth a round?

Don’t rule out Mallard Cove! It’s in really good shape.

The back 9 is harder than the front. Walk around the hole to read the putts.

Prepare yourself for a 4.5 hour round. Pace of play at national is terrible. Course is in good shape, but it always bottlenecks so bad..

Gray before Rita was awesome, dang shame.

Going to have to try Mallard Cove next time I come over.

Played the National 3 weeks ago for the first time and was very impressed. Loved the layout and the course and greens were in great shape.
Mallard is worth it also, easier, can’t go wrong with either one really.
