Thinking about booking a weekend at The Dancing Rabbit in a month or so. Just curious which Packages worked out best or just overall experience at the casino and on the course. Any insight is appreciated.

2 great tracks, I mostly played Azaleas.

Zoysia grass is always great to play on. You can stay at the golf course hotel or the casino.

Just watch out for the cotton mouth snakes every where. This is no joke. Last time I went and played, we came across quite a few. It was during mating season which runs from April to May. Other than that, the course was in great shape. Rented a course affiliated house that came with carts.

Last fall they had some sort of deal where you get $50 off your round if you place a $50 bet at the casino (sports book maybe?). I'd look into that. Courses are fine but overhyped.

We have a group of 8 playing it on April 4 on our way up to Old Waverly. I'll give you a course review when finish up. We are only playing the Azalea course. I have a feeling it will look amazing with the Azaleas in full bloom.

I’ve only ever played the course that’s not the Azalea course. The Oaks, maybe?

It was still a fine course. Fairways and greens wise it was great. They had kind of let a lot of the fairway bunkers go, but it wasn’t enough to really bother you. It was a good value at whatever I paid.

The guy I got paired with said the Azalea course is usually in pristine shape. We have a cabin at Neshoba County Fair, so I’m hoping it will be open when I go back this summer.

Don’t leave your shite unattended on the golf carts. It will be gone before you turn around.

They are owned by the Choctaw Nation and required to hire mostly American Indians which is no big deal. The problem when we booked our tee times is that we called and mentioned an online offer and the guy who took our reservation screwed us when we arrived. He said to get that price we needed to book online. I told him he didn’t mention that when I called and he laughed and said, “yeah, I got some other people like that last week too”. He didn’t care at all that he screwed us. I finally got the golf pro involved and he honored our original agreement. Tonto was sulking but he will live. In short, have everything in writing because they like to break treaty!

Philly has notoriously bad service, but always had good experiences at the golf course. I like the casino but service does suck

I have a friend that played 36 at the Oaks today. He said everything was in good shape. Greens were a little slow. He said they are redoing the bunkers.

All of them, or just greenside?

I hope the Azalea's greens are quick next week. I really want the undulations on the green to just beat me down.

This is interesting. We have tee times booked for the Azaleas on Thursday, and they never mentioned anything about being closed for renovations. I guess I'll give them a call on Monday.

Pro shop was a little confused by the comment that the Azaleas is closed for renovation. He said they are wide open. Only issue has been rain forcing cart path only, but it has opened back up to 90 degree rule this week.

Still playing Thursday, so will report back.

He played last Monday and it was closed

ETA it may be scheduled maintenance like most courses that close one day a week

That’s it. It’s closed every Monday for maintenance. Pro shop mentioned that today.

I think he assumed it was more than that since the bunker stuff going on. Love those courses.
