Playing in a tournament there Monday. Checked out the website and its looks almost on par with Latour and Atchafalaya but a good website can make a goat ranch look like Augusta National. Thoughts.

Usually in good shape, back > front, not a difficult course

They hold a web.com tour event for a reason. It's a great course that is maintained well. You won't be disappointed.

It blows away Latour and Atchafalaya.

Because Cypress Bayou Casino ponies up 100k towards the purse.

Haven't played La Tour but Atchafalaya not in same league as Le Triomphe. The membership is super low so the course is always in good shape. Especially the greens. They just did a major drainage investment so hopefully the ruts etc from heavy machinery is cleared up.

Used to be a member when I lived in lafayette. practice facilities are top notch. Back nine is more fun than the front but harder.. Greens were always in good shape.

Do you think other tournaments don't have major sponsors? Or do you think because you have a major sponsor the web.com events can be played anywhere?

It's a great course. That's why they play a web.com event there.

Nice course. Not in great shape right now. Still recovering from the drainage project. The greens are terrible. A web.com pro said it was comparable to skipping rocks on water.

Punched greens Tuesday. Still recovering from irrigation renovation. Not bad though, played it the other day.

Hold the phone... The Clubhouse is really nice (make sure to go check out the men’s locker room). The course is very nice and well kept. You won’t be disappointed.

It’s usually in better shape than Atchafalaya, but the design/layout isn’t as good.

La Tour is (usually) better conditioned and it’s most definitely a better design than Le Triomphe.

Le Triomphe is a 1980’s residential golf course like a million places on the gulf coast from TX to FL. It’s got several really good holes and several that are there to get from point A to Point B between houses if you catch my drift.

I went out there for the LA open and it was definitely crusty out there. I believe the drainage stuff will help prevent the course from drying out so much

I think they installed some multi million dollar drainage/irrigation type system to help the fairways from getting dry. I don't know what the technical terms are but supposed to help conditions. The course can get pretty dry at times.

They did a big irrigation renovation over the winter so they couldn’t control any water on the golf course. It’s still recovering from that and is currently in probably the worst shape I’ve seen it in at least 5 years. To make matters worse they also aerated a week ago. Last fall before they started the renovation it was in impeccable shape and I expect it to get back there once it’s had time to heal

It is generally in better shape than la tour but definitely isn’t right now

Having played La Tour in the neighborhood of 50 times and Le Triomphe 6 or 7, I can say conclusively that this most certainly isn’t the case.
