I typically get off the tee pretty decent but have been really struggling lately when the tee box isn't facing straight or down my line. Most trouble comes when I have to aim or line up to a left target. Seems like I can never get comfortable over the ball and slap across it creating a slice or strong pull. Any tips for proper alignment in these scenarios?

pick a target (tree, house, ect) off in the distance in the direction you want to go and line up off of that

Stand behind ball. Find target in the distance. Lock in on target.

Address the ball.

From your stance, without raising up, simply rotate your head left (for right-hander).

What you see is what you're aiming at. From there, return head to proper position and make a good swing.

That said, it sounds like you may have a subconscious anxiety over a misaligned tee box. Next time you're at the range, position yourself on one end of the teeing area and aim at targets not straight down range. Use the aforementioned targeting routine at the range as well.

Forget the markers. Pick out a target in the distance and just smash it

I had this issue when i first started playing. I line up my target behind my ball pick a tuft of grass or leaf or something on the tee box in that line and simple look at that to get my bearings. Glance up once or twice to spot my landing zone.

I place my ball on the tee the same way I do when lining up a putt on the green. I usually have a straight line marked on the ball.

As I step up to the teeing area I use my foot to point towards the 150 marker, and place my tee in front of my foot. Then I put the line on the ball pointed in line with my foot and the 150 marker.

I then put my club perpendicular to the line, using my driver's target arrow as a judge, then set my feet. Time to grip and rip!

All of this take me about 15 seconds max with practice swing and visualization included.

Pick a target 3-4 feet in front of your ball and square up to that line.

I think I remember reading that Jack Nicklaus barely looked up at his target once he was in his stance. His primary focus over the ball was that short target he had chose and focused on that.
