Was thinking about taking wife (sorry no pics) to play this week. Live in Baton Rouge and thinking of driving to Tamahka Trails. Haven’t played TT in years but always liked the course. Anyone play recently? Worth the drive?

I’ve played a bunch this year everything but the bunkers was always in great shape. I think they just completed a bunker renovation project.

Played this past weekend. Greens and fairways were in good shape for this time of year. They have a shite load of new sod surrounding a lot of the bunkers that they haven't cut yet. It is easy to hit out of the new sod but watch your ball closely if it lands near any of it because we lost a few simply because the ball would just disappear in it.

That’s great news. When in primo shape that’s an awesome, challenging course.

Glad to hear their redoing the bunkers. Tamahka's layout relies so heavily on their bunkers being in good shape and when they are its an enjoyable round. Played it a few months back and before that at least 5 years. Seems they've switched the front and back since then.

Went in November. Greens were really good. Bunker project was on-going but has since been completed. My guess is it will be in good shape.

Played yesterday and almost had the course to ourselves. Greens were in great shape. Bunker project is completed but will take some time for sod to grow in. It’s been so long since I have been there, I forgot how fun the course can be. Enjoyed the par 3s, especially #6 & #8. Will go back in spring.

I was out there a couple of weeks ago and it was good. Greens were very good, fairways nice... very few blemishes on the course. Yes, they were still in the middle of bunker renovation project, but its a cool layout and in good condition overall.
