Look for any reviews of these courses and average conditions.
I will be in the Fort Worth area next month.
Thanks

Played Pine Dunes last August (playing it again this August). Awesome course in phenominal shape. Loved the layout. Middle of no where. All I got.

Coming from the Fort Worth area you are talking about a 20-30 minute drive vs 1.5-2 hour drive. If time is not a factor then it's Pine Dunes without question. I played Sky Creek Ranch 2 weeks ago and it was in good shape, but it's your typical DFW style/layout. Pine Dunes is in a different league.

Sky Creek Ranch is one the better semi public clubs around the DFW area. I haven’t played it recently but it’s usually in good shape. It’s a fun layout.

Pine dunes golf course is awesome. The lodging was funny. Basically El Cid apartments just off the 18th green.

Ft Worth to PD is a hike, but worth it. I've not played it in March, though. Only in the warmer months.

Some work friends and I are going to Pine dunes in March. Playing 2 rounds Friday and Saturday.
Is there a restuarant/bar on property? Place to hang out once were done golfing? I see on the website the clubhouse grill closes at dusk, but I don't see anything else mentioned about a restuarant.

Restaurant closes early, get drinks and sit outside at your condo. The condos are spartan but they are perfect for out there. If the weather is nice take a nice midnight nature walk.

graduated hs in 75. guys older and my age have had a golf tourney for the last 46 years. pine dunes has hosted the past several years. we rent all the condos on the 18th green and have a 3 day golf tourney. you can upgrade to the new condos by the clubhouse but they are super expensive. course is nice, palestine is about 20-30 minutes away. not much in frankston. bring your own food to grill. great place to stay and play and have a good time
