Recs for Scottsdale

Myself, my wife, and another couple are going to the WM Open next February in Scottsdale. We have never been to AZ. We will be there Wednesday - Monday. Pretty sure we are going to book access to the 1937 Club, unless anyone here has some serious negative feedback or any better experiences to share.
Also looking for some insight on the following:
Stay:
We are flying into Phoenix so anywhere in the greater Phoenix area works. Preferably a golf resort where we can get a round or 2 in. Plan to Uber everywhere so I'm not particularly concerned about the proximity to the event. Wife would like a decent spa where we are staying. I would like a serviceable bar.
Dining:
We aren't shy when it comes to trying new or unique cuisines. Anything from a hole in the wall food truck to an upscale restaurant.
Courses to play:
Up for anything. Preferably somewhere with the option to rent clubs. Not sure if any of us will bring ours.
Price range isn't something I'm interested at the moment for any of the above. I'll look the places up and figure out if I can afford it or not. This is also the first time away since having 2 little ones (15 months apart). That said, we are willing to spend money to enjoy our first taste of freedom in a while.
Appreciate any help.

Restaurant, and I’ll start with restaurant because it’s my favorite in the PHX area. Durant’s, it’s an old school steak house with unbelievable sides.
Golf wise, Troon obviously, the course at the Phoenician is a decent track, I found it super easy to play.
The Boulders north of Scottsdale really surprised me for their golf courses. They were both great.
People will say Grayhawk and Wee Ko Pa but neither of those do anything for me

Quintero for golf or Mirabel CC if you can get on.

Troon Monument, Quintero, We Ko Pa, Boulders South, Kierland, Grayhawk Raptor.

We played 6 courses while we were there. I’ll rank them…
1. We ko pa saguaro
2. We ko pa cholla
3. Grayhawk raptor
4. Troon pinnacle
5. Troon monument
6. Grayhawk talon
We were there in September so it was pretty hot. Troon courses probably not in as good of shape as they’ll be in February since they are the only one to have bentgrass greens

Second the Boulders. It really surprised me as well. Nice course.

JW Marriott Desert Ridge is a great place to stay and has two decent courses. Troon North as everyone else has said. Boulders is good. All courses will be crowded and expensive. If you are staying on the north side of town there are some great places in North Scottsdale just outside of the 101. Mastro’s for steak. Vic and Olas for Italian. The Living Room for brunch.

I wouldn't recommend Quintero only for the fact that you will be Ubering. It's a hike but def worth it for the golf.

Wasn't Troon like $600/round around the WM Open?

That was the rack rate, yes.

Went out for a bachelor party earlier this year about a month before the WM open and played TPC, Troon and We ko pa. TPC was awesome with the stadium up but at $600/round it was by far the most I’ve ever paid for golf but it was worth for a 1 time thing. Troon is outstanding and we ko pa came in third for me but still pretty nice

Yea, Troon took the cake for me. Absolutely perfect conditions. Not a blade of grass out of place.

Quintero was ranked 83/100 of top courses you can play in America.
TPC stadium is very underwhelming unless all the stands are up imo. Overpriced, but I get why people are drawn to play it.
WeKoPa is nice especially if you want a golf experience without houses lining the course. They have a tremendous practice/warm up facility and clubhouse.
Boulders is a nice option for true desert target golf with great scenery.
What type of course would you like to play? They will all be overpriced when you plan on coming as Scottsdale is the worst priced golf bubble in America during the winter season.

Has anyone played Talking Stick? Wondering how it fits in the hierarchy of Scottsdale golf...

I'll be playing Camelback Ambiente course in a couple weeks, looking forward to it

Ambiente is a fun course. They have two short par fours that are risk reward you can drive the green. One on the front 9 and then number 10.
Talking stick is ok. Coore/Crenshaw design, which is good, but WeKoPa Saguaro is best Coore/Crenshaw design out here.
Golf out here is great, just pricey.
