Recommendation for Driver Fitting

Anyone have a recommendation for getting fit for a driver shaft? I'm in Lake Charles but would be willing to travel within an hour or so to get with someone that really knows what they are doing.
I'm hitting a Taylor Made SLDR with a stock stiff flex shaft. I've never hit on a machine to know anything about my swing numbers, but I've always felt this shaft is not right for my swing.
I know Robbie at Putter's in Lake Charles used to be one of the best in this area but I believe he stopped fitting a few years ago.

Pretty sure he moved back to Arkansas.
I don't think you'll find anything in LC. What about Games People Play in Beaumont?

Just called Putter's... yes Robbie moved back to Arkansas.
Got a couple of recommendations for John Joy at Le Triomphe in Lafayette... Think I may give him a call.
ETA: I called GPP in Beaumont. They are set up to fit and interchange shafts on the Callaway Epic but nothing else. The fitting is $50 or if you buy the driver there it is free.

That's interesting. That's a good club though, not sure if you're interested in it or not.
The 50$ fee isn't that bad to be honest. It's more expensive somewhere else, but only Callaway Epic would limit you there.
I got fit at Golftech here in BR, I liked my experience. I ended up getting the Epic Sub Zero. I gained 20+ yards off the tee from my 2010 model driver I had been hitting. Get fit is worth the drive if you can't get to somewhere around LC.

The guy that owns bombsquadgolf is in Jennings now. Not certain what he has going on for in-person fittings but seems to be worth a call...

I don't live in Louisiana, but see if there is a Titleist Thursday in your area. Free, 45 minute session on TrackMan, and you get to see all of your numbers. They have all kinds of shafts for you to try on their Drivers. Awesome experience.

Got an edwin watts near by?
What dont you feel right about your swing? IMO, if you're going to do an all out golf fitting, do it the right way. If there was ever a driver you hit really well, try to find that shaft/head comparison and match it to something on the market now.

I had a Titleist 975 driver with a green Aldila shaft in it that I used to be very consistent with. I was leaning on it waiting to tee off one day and the shaft broke.
Since the driver was about 7-8 years old I decided to just get something with newer technology... Haven't been as good off the box ever since then.

Drive the extra hour to Club Champion in Houston. You won't have any doubt you've got the best club for your game

Games people play sucks. John Joy is pretty good at LT

I've been fitted for a driver by John Joy at Le Triomphe. $75 for fitting and he can order the club or give you the specs to order on your own. Highly recommend.
I've also heard good things about the Bombsquad guy in Jennings.
