I'm going to be staying at Tapatio Springs the first week in October and was wondering what the course there is like? Plan to play a couple rounds there and 1 at the Quarry.

Nice, hear it's pretty damned hot on one of the 9's in the summer.

Check out Comanche Trace in Kerrville - if it’s not too far to drive

That's not that far from Boerne, might try to get there if I can squeeze in an extra day.

Thanks. The plan is to play golf in the mornings and do the touristy stuff the rest of the day. River Walk, Alamo, hike up Enchanted Rock, and Check out some caverns.

Tapatito is a solid base for that stuff.

Tapaito Springs is a fun play and a good bar area. If you play there and you run into a Marshall named Jody, tell him Bopper in Sugarland sent you.

I very highly recommend playing Landa Park GC in New Braunfels. It is wonderful and a blast to play. And Milton's Steakhouse has a awesome ribeye.

It a damn shame that Pecan Valley and the Palmer Courses closed down.

Came face to face with a huge rattlesnake on the Palmer Course, never forget that.

If you play Landa Park, Deer will lay down next to the tee box and sun, pretty cool if you wife goes along with you.

Walk over to the river by the clubhouse, dip your foot in, it's ice cold.

Deer laying down by a coonass, that makes the kill real easy. The wife did say she wants to ride along when I go play rather than going do a spa day.

Hate the Palmer courses closed. Played them back a few many years, really fun and they were in perfect shape.

RiverHills in Kerrville has a Stay n Play package that's a great deal! Stay in a cottage on course with full privileges at the Club including dining, tennis and workout facilites. The Pro is Matt Trevino who played his college golf at UL. Its a great mini vacation !

Didn't Tapatio have a fire at the resort recently?

Don't know how recent. I was there in May. The new Restaurant and Bar area is very nice.
