Playing there on Saturday. Haven’t played it in a few years. Wondering how it is.

TIA

Its as close as you can get to Cypress Point in Louisiana without having to travel to California.

Our league played out there a month ago.

It was in decent shape. Greens were a little slow with the POA on them

I played it last week for the first time in a year and it appeared to be in exactly the same shape as I remember. Yes, the 9th hols is still under massive construction and I lost a pro-v in the massive creator on the green side of the water near the backhoe

Ponchy isn’t the north shore and you should mention oak knoll too. I’ve always enjoyed playing at Oak knoll

Played on Thursday. Tee boxes are trash like always, fairways are getting better, but still a bunch of hard pan in many spots. Bunkers are okay and the greens were pretty solid. A little bumpy, but nothing crazy. Very comfortable speed.

It's one of my favorite layouts. I wish someone with some money could purchase it and do something more. It really has all the makings of a fantastic course, but the money and upkeep isn't there.

The layout is okay IMO but some of the holes are just too long for the average golfer. I would enjoy it alot more if they moved a few tees up on a few holes and took the driver out of some peoples hands or gave them an option top hit driver with some risk but chance of reward. It's just one driver after the next without much creativity.

If I lived in Slidell I may play it more but if I am driving in I would rather drive another 40 minutes and play The Oaks for similar rates (or cheaper with the member card).

The guy that owns Oak Harbor is a young dude (maybe 40) I think he played for UNO.

Anyway, his 10 year old is pretty much the best 10 year old player in America.

That’s my only contribution to this thread.
