Why is it a $100 per person? Do they not know the market they are in? As a Houma resident can someone give me one reason why I should play La Tour instead of Atchafalaya in Paterson, LA for a lot less.

You shouldn't. Atchafalaya is a much nicer course, much nicer clubhouse.

I paid $125 to play Chambers Bay when I was in Seattle this summer.

Nice. Was that where they are going to play the PGA or US Open?

I can see why. They are asking way too much. I mean TPC of Louisiana is $129 in the morning and $99 later in the day.

Played the Open there two years ago. Me and the BIL caught the twilight rate. Whats nice is you can play golf until 9:20 in Seattle in the summer time and still have daylight. Couldn't have started another hole though. But we got all 18 in.

I hate la tour

I am around a 10-15 handicap, an la tour sucks dick with all the sand in the fairways. Not a fun course IMHO

In fairness, that course is a goat ranch, so $125 is kinda high

Disagree.

Atchafalaya, while having a great layout (better than most courses in LA in this dept), is in marginal-bad condition more than 1/2 the year. The greens are sometimes ok and frequently bad.

La Tour, while not the most interesting layout, is immaculate. And the greens are top 10 in the state, maybe even top 5. IMO, la tour is a 100$ course. Unfortunately, many are saying it won't be around much longer b/c of the market u mentioned.

The layout is top notch. The greens RIGHT NOW are in great shape and fast. The fairways are always nice at Atchafalaya.

What I dont like about LaTour is its ALWAYS windy. A pleasant day any other course is fricking British Open conditions at LaTour.
