I tried a ridiculous shot from under trees last week, lost two balls out of bounds, stroke and distance, maybe after today, I learned my lesson

When I was playing I learned a valuable lesson early on. When missing the fairway and being faced with an impossible shot, I chipped back to the fairway. Cut down on the doubles.

It just goes to show how mentally draining the course is playing. 17 holes of intense focus and one lapse in judgement stole the tournament from him.

I'm a super conservative player, but I get what he was thinking here. To play out left from where he was, he had to cover a bunker and hit right towards that creek. I think he just tried to go for too much. Should have hit it easier up the path just to get past the last tree.
