Played yesterday; course was in good shape. Let the waste bunkers go but less maintenance so I get it. Encountered an 8some, one cart parked ON #6 green, others on fringes. Where is the marshall??? Bathrooms in clubhouse and on course weren't clean. Going downhill

Lake Charles?
People over there are pretty low class so this wouldn’t surprise me.

Surprised knowing what they charge there. Usually keeps the riff raff out.

Hate that course. Pampas grass is a ridiculously stupid way to defend a golf course.

I agree that Mully Grass is a crappy way to define a course and the torpedo grass has taken over a lot of the mully and the waste bunkers. Yes staffing has been an issue and the waste bunkers got out of hand. We are working on that presently. as far as the bathrooms go, I know the ones on the course we cleaned on Saturday, but we do have an issue with homeless people staying in them at night. I hope the rest of the course played well.

As far as the comment of people being from Lake Charles being "Low Class", thats a pretty broad statement to define a whole city and community. I think you need to check yourself before you start making statements as such.

Once again, I apologize for the golf course not being up to your standards. We are working hard to get the natives back in shape.

Well, it’s true, and even if it wasn’t just take it as a joke man. The lake Charles folks don’t need you white knighting for them

I'm going to have to agree....generally speaking LC is dominated by industry, which doesn't typically attract polished individuals.

However, I lived in LC for 5 years and I will say that the golf scene over there is better than the majority of the cities in LA. Lot's of nice courses to choose from that only take about 30 mins to get to.

I'm born and raised in BR and live there now....we don't have anything close outside the country clubs.

LC definitely isn't El Dorado, but acting like Baton Rouge is higher class is a big . Don't take my word for it through, it's just a statistical fact:

Lake Charles Income and Poverty statistics:

Median Income: $54.7k
Per Capita Income: $34.3k
Poverty rate: 22.6%

Baton Rouge Income and Poverty statistics:

Median Income: $50.1k
Per Capita Income: $33.9k
Poverty rate: 24%

In conclusion, Lake Charles residents when Baton Rouge residents are around:

Not really. Don’t hit it in that area. Course management is hard…

Never said BR was higher class.....there are plenty of low life's in this city, just most stay north of Florida Blvd.

Your statistics aren't really apples to apples though...you are comparing a city with to BR that has 1/3 the population. Typically a smaller sample size will yield higher results.
