What courses are worth playing within an hour of DEN? Is arrowhead the general consensus?

Arrowhead GC in Littleton. One of the best courses i have ever played. It looks like something out of Goldent Tee.

We've got a group playing Fox Hollow, Fossil Trace and The Ridge at Castle Pines in May.

The second two are highly rated. The first one came highly recommended as a warm-up course on a date folks are travelling in (not a heavy price for a good, fun course).

We couldn't get on at Arrowhead, as it was booked the entire week we were there with tournaments.

You can’t go wrong with Arrowhead, Fossil Trace or Castle Pines North.

Other courses to consider in no order: Commonground, Green Valley Ranch, Riverdale Dunes and Bear Dance.

Fossil Trace in Golden (poor man Arrowhead/great track with friendly conditions around the greens)

Colorado National Erie, PA (CU Boulders home course)

The Ridge @ Castle Pines. (Just south of Denver)

Walnut Creek Preserve Westminster, CO (Links style gem)

All affordable & the essence of front range Colorado golf
