Heading there end of next week and playing there for the first time. Played The Links and The Raven at Sandestin, but never Burnt Pine. Any major difference between BP and The Raven? Thanks and Go Tigers.

Burnt pine is more difficult, but always in great shape.

Burnt Pine is on the water (bay) whereas Raven is not. Both are fantastic courses.

There is a reason Burnt Pine is private. The Raven is a very good course and in good shape most of the time.

Burnt Pine is usually in the best shape of all the courses at Sandestin. Better range, not as much traffic and a more interesting layout.

Burnt Pine and Raven are very similar. Both try to take out 1 or 2 sides with water on a lot of shots into the green. To me, they look a lot a like just in the layout.

As others have said, Burnt Pine is usually in better shape than the Raven, but the Raven is always pretty decent as well. I just played Raven this Saturday after the rain in the am and it still was in good shape.

Personally I've always thought the Raven was just a bit harder than Burnt Pine, but a lot of others say otherwise.

Much appreciated on the responses. I always said The Raven was one of the more challenging courses in that area. Much more difficult than Kelly, Regatta and Indian Bayou. I’m looking forward to Fridays round at BP to see how it compares to the others.

I'd rather Pine Horse!
