SO not sure if anyone watched "The Q" tournament to qualify for the Myrtle Beach PGA event in a couple weeks. It was a bunch of content creators and mini-tour level pros playing an 18 hole event for an invite to the tournament. George, Grant, Micah, Peter Finch, Matt Atkins, Fat Perez, Scott "cardboard" Steven, Luke Kwon, Cole Lantz (Busta Jack), et al were in the field of 16.

George had a 2 shot lead on Atkins heading to the 18th. They were in the same group. George had an unlucky bogey and Atkins birdied to set up a playoff. Atkins birdied and George parred, so Atkins won the invite.

Well, George just got a sponsors exemption today to play in it. Wesley also qualified due to finishing 2nd in Corales. If you have kept up with Bryan Bros, Matt is a friend of theirs and has been in a bunch of videos. They all played golf at South Carolina. He has a pretty cool story. He was about to quit golf last year and made the cut at the RSM after getting in the tournament on a Monday qualifier. It was supposed to be his last professional tournament.

Just really a cool story IMO that all three guys will be playing in the same tournament together given what they've all been through

Biggest surprise was Dan Rappaport beating Kwon et al. Micah shite the bed as usual.

Rappaport shooting +4 was the biggest surprise of the tournament for sure. Micah shitting the bed, so sad and so funny at the same time. Him making that announcement a couple years ago that he was "turning pro" is just too funny.

Kwon had a video come out recently where he talks about his journey. I had no idea about all the immigration issues he's had. I never knew he was actually from South Korea. He moved to the US when he was a child with his parents but never had green card status, so when he finished college on a student visa he was in a situation of being deported back to Korea without his family if he didn't get an athlete visa by qualifying for the Korn Ferry Tour.

Micah is legitimately bad at golf. His only skill is hitting it far yet he never hits his driver because he can’t keep it on the planet.

I’m a 5 handicap and I’m convinced I could beat him 1 on 1, because he sucks
