Heading out to Bogalusa to play in a tournament at what I'm guessing to be the only golf course there. It's a 3 man scramble-playing with two friends that are from close to the area.

Anybody ever play in this tournament have any pointers on what to expect?

Nope. About 6 feet with hair. I think the official flighting is tomorrow or Friday, but preliminarily I think we are in the first.

At Bogalusa CC?

IP used to have their tournament there, thankfully last year they moved it to Money Hill.

Keep your head on a swivel out there

I've never been. I was invited to play this year. The guy I know's best friend growing up is a member up there. He's been there for almost 20 years (since high school).

Anyway, make a long story short...they talked shite about the place for weeks. Said it's a ranch, tight, greens suck, etc. I'm thinkin, .....must cost next to nuttin.

They said the fee per man was $200. But they're gonna give you a bunch of stuff. Food is supposed to be purty decent as well.

Have fun.

Cool, thanks for the info. Just discovered it is only a 9 hole course and more importantly, it is all the beer you can drink (fo free). If nothing else, it should be a good time.

The course is a direct reflection of the town

IP owns the land the course is on

No bullshite, they have tee boxes with other holes flying it over your head. The greens are tiny and it's definitely a ranch.

This is absolutely accurate. Tried to sneak in a round today after leaving IP and could only stomach one lap around that place. I thought DSCC was bad..

sounds like the old Magnolia Creek Golf Course in Ethel...
Played in a Baker C of C fund raiser there one time years ago...
9 holes before supper (much beer)...9 holes after full dark...
talk about having your head on a swivel...
nothing like looking up and seeing a glow ball headed for your face...

Ever played Oak Lake in Clinton? It's a gem compared to any other 9 hole I've played around here.
