Anyone have any low cost, reliable way to ship clubs or is it best to just check them on the airline?

Checking them is the most economical. Rent clubs unless you plan to play more than once, otherwise not worth it.

No way I would trust an airline with my clubs unless I had a very durable case

I've flown with my clubs all over the country. Iron covers for chatter, wrap my towel for less movement and put them in the travel case. Never had a problem

what do you think happens to your clubs when you ship them? They go onto an airplane

Only risk you run checking them is them not making it to your destination when you do. I've flown with my clubs plenty and have never had any issues whatsoever with damaged clubs

I use to use a hard case and they broke the locks off of them coming back from Grand Cayman.

I use a club glove soft case now and never had an issue since it has plenty of protection.

You're not supposed to put locks on luggage is why. I've traveled with my clubs multiple times to Grand Cayman as well, never had a problem.

That was too many years ago, back when the Hyatt had their course that you could use the Cayman ball if you wanted.

Most credit cards you use
To pay for the ticket/baggage would provide some sort of insurance

Check them

Remove your driver head if you can, and pack the top with towels to give clubs support and protection.

A soft bag with wheels works fine.
