Played today, and hit everything thin. Luckily I can chip and putt, so I was able to keep it under 80. What can I do to stop this shite?

Maybe a little more weight on your front side

A guy who shoots in the 70's on a bad day is fitting to get a lot of advice from people who can't break 90! Lol.

Without seeing it, you're probably standing up a little through impact.

Probably hanging back instead of getting your weight forward, catching the ball on the upswing instead of down.

Was the ball getting in the air or more of catching it a groove or two low?

I topped my first two drives of the day... haven't done that in 15 years. All of my irons and wedges are getting in the air, some, but aren't going anywhere.

Just check your ball position next time. If I had to guess without seeing you swing I'd assume you had the ball too far back.

either you're hanging or swaying back off the ball. If you are centered then could be hanging back and getting stuck.

My SIL does at times. Usually for him it's the hands, too far back like he's trying to help the ball up.

This board might be worse than the OT. You topped your first 2 drives, hit your irons thin all day and shot in the 70s?

Yes. I'll post my score from the GameBook App.

I'm the 3rd one down. That was from yesterday.

Well that's pretty impressive scrambling.

This should help a lot. I get in a habit of hitting chips and pitches a little thin on tight lies, putting weight on you front foot makes your arc a little steeper and helps you hit down on it.

Moving the ball back a hair should help as well, but I tend to cut the ball when I move it back too much.

I still made par on the first hole.

It does help that even though I'm hitting it thin,it's still going where I'm aimed.

If i am having a thin kinda of day, i choke up a bit on the grip. It will make you over compensate and you thin it.
