Anyone been to 265 academy in Shreveport? Wondering how good it is for the price. Looking for a new instructor and have been considering giving them a shot.

I have. The facility is awesome. Trackman, Gears, and RoboGolf. Webb is a good teacher. Just kinda hard to fork over the $200+ very often. But you won't find a better facility

Did you do the instruction with Shaun Webb or someone else on the staff?

I've taken lessons only from Shaun. Not sure about any of their other instructors. My first time, David Toms was standing in the doorway to the hitting bay while I was taking my lesson. Talk about pressure!!

It's a really nice spot. Well worth the $200 for a lesson with Webb and to see the place. Not sure I'd pay to go regularly just because it's expensive.

Worth it - know a couple guys that stop in there from NELA every few months to get a check up.

The equipment and technology they have is pretty amazing - they give you a thumb drive with a video so you can review the lesson data.

Edit - I have seen SW a few times and they guys I know use Webb as well.

He has a partner that produces some really good video content that is extremely beneficial. They brand it under Athletic Motion Golf - I really like the ideas and concepts that AMG basis their instruction.

Robert Merrill in Lafayette is working with them under this name as well. I am not sure what he charges.

Appreciate all the info. I spoke with them today, and I'm going to go in a few weeks for a 2 hour introductory lesson.

What do they charge for this if you don't mind me asking?

I understood it to be $200 per hour with Shaun. It goes down drastically with the assistant pro.

It's $200/hr with Shaun, and you get use of the practice facility for the entire day, before and after your session. $60/hr with Stephen, and use of the facility for 1 hr before and after your session. Stephen is a very good teacher. I haven't taken any lessons with Shaun, so I can't speak to the lessons with him.

We covered a lot of information. Used up the entire 1.5hr. Adjusted my setup and worked on changing my pressure shifts in the swing. Sent me a few videos from the things we worked on and have his number so I can text him whenever I feel like for thoughts or to check on my swing.
